Windows 7 Angry Birds Edition

Revision as of 06:49, 5 March 2023 by Undefishin (talk | contribs)

Windows 7 Angry Birds is a bootleg Windows edition created by DilShad Sys and added to the archive on December 2021. It was one of DilShad's earlier releases before their rebranding as Freeware Sys. The bootleg has a 64-bit version, however it is considered lost, with people in the comment section of DilShad's YouTube channel requesting it as of a few years ago.

This mod was also used as the OS on VM 0b0t, a VM on CollabVM, since the 1st revision (previously it was Windows Vista SP2 with the extended kernel on the initial revision) before being superseded by Windows 7 FaceBooK Edition 2012 on the 6th revision.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows 7 SP1 ISO, which is slimmed down with most of its features removed. It was themed after the game Angry Birds Space which was new when this edition released.

This OS is known to be very stable compared to other bootlegs, and many bootlegs are derived from it.

Changes from Windows 7

  • The setup background has been replaced with Angry Birds skateboards.
  • The start orb has been replaced with Red from Angry Birds Space.
  • The background has been replaced with a blue Angry Birds DilShad Sys branded wallpaper.
  • The "logging on" screen has been replaced with the flock from Angry Birds Space.
  • The "Computer", "Network", "Recycle Bin", "Control Panel", and user folder icons have all been changed. Explorer has also had some icons changed.

64-Bit Version

A (currently missing) x64 build of this OS was also released by DilShad Sys. DilShad Sys has stated he lost this OS himself. The OS itself appears to mostly be the same as the x86 version, but noticeable differences between the two include:

  • The setup background has been changed from Angry Birds skateboards to a promotional picture of Angry Birds Space (similar to the one seen on the logon screen in the x86 version)
  • The setup program is now transparent instead of lime green, and has a different close button.
  • Appropriately, the system properties model now displays "Angry Birds X64 Edition" instead of "Angry Birds Edition".
  • The Recycle Bin icon has been changed to an egg.
