Storm XP SE is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by Alfares (Samir Ahmed and Osama Salem). It released on December 3, 2012 and was added to the archive on November 25, 2022.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO, with xable's XP SP3 Update Pack 1.0.20 integrated. It also comes with a boot selector integrated. Through it, you can access Symantec Ghost 11.5.1 (cracked, registered to Imran I jaz), Norton PartitionMagic Pro Server 8.05 build 1371 and a CMOS clearer.

On the first boot of the OS, you can choose different interface styles, similar to Windows XP Fannan NewLook 6. Your choices are "Classic", "Storm" and "Islamic". "Classic" is the stock bootleg, while "Storm" is the main attraction and an "Islamic" style, because why not. After you choose what style you want to use, you get to choose to install additional programs. If you're using the Storm or Islamic styles, some extras may get installed in the background. Once everything is finished, Drvs3 (comes with DriverPacks version 901r3) will launch and will install itself for you.

"Storm" comes with a new shell and Windows Seven Dock. "Classic" comes with a new default theme (although the name is the samel, the underlying msstyles is not).

It comes with its own autorun, and "Tools" (the one in the Desktop; it replaces sysdm.cpl which redirects to a page where you can select "Computer Info" (MyPC 2.27.0.1) and the old sysdm.cpl). Through it, you can install the OS itself, the software and drivers (the ones from before), change the Windows language (like in Tools), change the desktop, transform the OS into Ubuntu (acquiring its "3D effects") and extra accessories (additional themes of the "Storm" style, "components" of the "Islamic" style, extra 3D effects (Napalm 1.0 and Shock Desktop 3D 0.5), and 7 new skins for the Xion music player).

More on "Tools": Through it, you can change the language like in the autorun, access games, "wallpapers" and programs.

It is unattended and preactivated. The ISO was made using nLite and Windows Unattended CD Creator, and the boot selector used was EasyBoot 5.1.0.566. The ISO was generated using UltraISO 7.6E.

Bootleg quirks

More on the broken cursor set, "Gruppler's Gruppled (Black) Cursors": There is an extraneous line in its registry entry in HKCU\Software\Cursors\Schemes. Remove it, and it will work fine.
