Windows Genius XP is a Windows bootleg edition created by Gamal Gooad released in 2015 and added to the archive on January 3, 2023.
Description
The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO. Like many other Windows bootlegs, this one is designed to look and have the Windows 7 aesthetic to it. This includes the login screen, the widgets and the taskbar. Loading up winver, it detects the OS as Windows Vista Ultimate (RED), meaning it could have taken some resources from it.
Changes from Windows XP
- Setup OS text is changed
- The Setup screen has been changed entirely to an orange background with a window showing the logo and titled as "WINDOWS GENIUS XP", It also has its own tagline saying "Genius software and computer science"
- New Boot Screen
- Pre-OOBE Screen is changed to show the Windows 7 Logo that says "WELCOME GENIUS"
- The login screen is changed to a Windows 7 style, With the Accessibility button not working.
- New default theme
- 15 new themes
- All Screensavers are removed and only has the "Holiday Clock" Screensaver
- New default wallpaper
- 78 new wallpapers
- All Cursors are removed and can only be applied with the Built-In Themes
