WinBeOS98 II is a bootleg Windows 9x edition, which was created as part of the WinBeOS98 series by Sergey Bedrin of eWafr-Bedrin. It released in 1998, and was added to the archive on April 7, 2024.
Description
WinBeOS98 II is a transformation pack for Windows 9x, which is packaged in Installer VISE 5 like BedOS. It transforms Windows into BeOS, using a batch script which copies over its new system files over the old ones. It comes with a new design different from the first WinBeOS, and supposedly offers stabler performance. Unlike WinBeOS I, it does not have any uninstaller, so if you install this OS into your computer, you're pretty much screwed, unless you have backups of the original system files. It even deletes the SYSBCKUP folder (although fails to do so, it tries to delete "SYSBCUP").
