Windows Sniper XP Smart is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by Gaber Samir. It was released on June 15, 2017, and was added to the archive on July 26, 2024. It was Gaber Samir's final Windows XP bootleg.

Description

The ISO is a stripped down Windows XP SP3 ISO that was designed to look like Windows 10. It comes with updates, themes, a few programs and some wallpapers, a new default theme and cursor set.

It is unattended and preactivated. It was made using nLite.

Changes from Windows XP SP3

Minor changes

  • The text-mode setup OS text is changed. it says "Windows Sniper Xp Smart Sp3 Setup" in the title.
  • The classic Start menu's banner was changed. It uses the Alfares XP Smart banner.

Changes in pre-desktop procedures

  • New setup graphics, although it uses the classic "Windows 2000" style with Windows 10 background.
  • The setup screen's resolution is set to 1024x768 by default.
  • New boot graphics.
  • New login graphics.
  • The OOBE is skipped by default.

Look and feel

  • New default theme and wallpaper
  • 5 new themes included
  • 4 new wallpapers included. All of the original wallpapers are removed.
  • A few new User Account pictures included.

Bootleg quirks

  • There are 2 internet HTML Files on the CD root which leads to Gaber Samir's website and his Facebook page, The Facebook link exists on the Desktop as well.
  • The default user account will automatically be logged in.
  • The Arabic (Egypt) keyboard layout has been added.
