Windows XP 10 Anime is a bootleg Windows XP SP3 edition, which was created by Mohamed El Ryan (referred to as "Moos" for short in the OS) of thetwinsrab. It released on September 7, 2013, and was added to the archive either in late 2021 or early 2022.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP3 ISO, which tries to be similar in looks and function to Windows 7. It comes with many programs, themes, wallpapers, some drivers integrated, and tweaks. It is unattended, and preactivated.

The ISO was made using nLite 1.4.6 on Windows XP SP3.

Minor changes

The text-mode setup OS text is changed
New desktop context menu entries added, thanks to Fast Explorer. You now get to follow the author's Facebook page and Weebly page, woohoo!

Changes in pre-desktop procedures

New setup graphics. The background has been changed to the character Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop, with the name "Windows 10 Anime" added below it. All of the text, aside from the time remaining, has been removed
New pre-OOBE graphics. The pre-OOBE background has been changed to a wallpaper featuring several characters from One Piece
The OOBE video has been replaced with the Windows 7 boot screen
New login graphics. The login screen now features a red-haired anime character and a snow leopard

Bootleg quirks

The OS has a bit of an identity crisis and refers to itself by several different names - The setup, boot sequence, and ISO name refer to it as "Windows 10 Anime", while the logging on screen refers to it as "windows anime". The about box refers to it as "Windows Anime XP 2013", and the System Properties refers to it as "WINDOWS 10 Animation".
There is a folder on the desktop and in the Start menu programs, which is full of internet shortcuts to the author's website and social networks. Also on the desktop, there is a link to "ANIME PROG" in which you can install some extra programs.
The default icons, aside from Internet Explorer, have all been capitalized and have had the word "ANIME" appended to them. "My Computer", for example, is now "ANIME COMPUTER" The Explorer button icons are also different.
Despite being named "Windows 10", the OS is clearly modeled after Windows 7, though this is because Windows 10 was not released (or even announced) when this OS was released.
Development of this bootleg started on July 16, 2013. It was developed over the course of 2 months (evident by the nLite session files which got left in), and was eventually finalized and finished on September 7, 2013.
In RocketDock, the Computer icon is replaced with a picture of Naruto.
In Chrome 28, the homepage is replaced with the author's website. Some new bookmarks have also been added.
"WIN ANIME IROMAN3" (the default theme) and "WIN ANIME KUNG FU PANDA" doesn't have a theme set, so it will use whatever theme you had previously.

Development log

July 16, 2013: 1 new theme is included, "ThemerX"; A unattended configuration has been applied. The setup will now start in 1024x768 by default, and the username has been changed to "mezo"; Many tweaks have been made, mostly towards Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer. The desktop icon size is set to 47 - to mimick Windows 7.

This is the first session file to leak the author's Windows username, in this case it's "Fannan6". Judging by the username, the author mains Windows XP Fannan NewLook 6, a bootleg that was nearly 2 years old at the time.

A month break passes, and it is starting to get very close to the final release date. Some more changes get made to the OS, and would get finished on September 7. The author switched OSes, to another bootleg named Windows Speed Max. Interestingly, the author downgraded their nLite version to 1.4.6, when previously, it was 1.4.9.1.
