Windows XP KingoOo Edition is a bootleg Windows XP SP2 edition, which was created by KingoOo (real name: Anas Allaf). It released on February 14, 2008, and was added to the archive on April 6, 2024.

Description

The bootleg is a modified Windows XP SP2 ISO, with RyanVM Update Pack 2.1.10 integrated. It comes with many programs and one theme and two wallpapers. It comes with registry tweaks. It comes with its own autorun. It is preactivated.

On the first boot of the OS, a program installer will be ran, and AntiWPA 3.4.6 will be activated afterwards.

The bootleg was made using nLite, the autorun was made with AutoPlay Media Studio 7.0 and the ISO was touched up with UltraISO 8.6.2.2011.

Changes from Windows XP SP2

Minor changes

The text-mode setup OS text is changed to "Windows Xp KingoOo Edition".
Control Panel has been added to the context menu of My Computer.
Open in New Window has been added to the context menu of all folders.
ClearType is now enabled by default.
OEM branding is included, along with Support Information.
The Run dialog is changed. The title is changed as well.
Winver banner and bar is changed.
Shutdown dialog is changed.

Changes in pre-desktop procedures

New setup graphics. The steps text has been changed, and the progress bar has been given a new look. The billboard text has had al of its mentions of Windows replaced with "Windows KingoOo".

Notes

Bootleg quirks

This bootleg was finalized on February 12, 2008, and was released on February 14th, Valentine's Day.
RocketDock is installed twice, for some reason.
The taskbar is now unlocked by default.
The OS claims to be "Service Pack 3, v.3300" despite the OS being Service Pack 2 underneath the hood.
Winver's version string now says "Version 6.0 (Build 6000)".
Notepad now uses Tahoma as the default font.
Internet Explorer simultaneous downloads have been maxed out.
Google is now the default search engine of Internet Explorer.
The regional language is set to Arabic (Jordan), and the timezone is set to GMT+2 Jerusalem.
