Welcome to the CrustyWindows wiki! This wiki is dedicated to the preservation of old "crusty" mods of Windows made throughout the years. We're attracted to these not because of the quality (far from it) but because of the shittiness and just how plain funny they are. Over time these isos are getting harder and harder to find due to link rot and so this site is dedicated to preserving them.

Bootleg of the Month

The desktop of Windows 10 Spartan 2015

Windows 10 Spartan 2015 is a bootleg Windows 10 Build 10049 edition, which was created by BossKanae. The x86 version released on April 2, 2015, and the x64 version released 2 days after. They were both added to the archive on April 6, 2024.

The bootleg is a modified Windows 10 Build 10049 ISO. It comes with new programs, and a wallpaper.

It is unattended and preactivated. The ISO was made using WinToolkit 1.5.3.12 (despite the installer stating version 1.5.3.9).

Major submission guideline change
Effective immediately today (September 11, 2024), you can no longer submit your own bootlegs or submit bootlegs made after 2020 (unless they are notable in some way). The community bootleg section is also discontinued. Further information can be found in the #announcements channel of our Discord server.

We now have a Discord server!
CrustyWindows now has its own Discord server. You can use it to discuss the CrustyWindows project, Wiki, or just modified operating systems in general. You can also submit ISOs for the collection or just hang out! You can also get notified of future updates to the collection if you join the Discord server. Another good place to look is in the archive changelog. So... what are you waiting for? Join here!
